What sizes and pressure classes of valves does Venus Engineering Works manufacture?
Manufacturing ranges vary by valve type. Cast steel gate valves are made from 50 MM NB (2") to 2000 MM NB (80") in classes 150# to 2500#, while forged steel gate valves cover 15 MM NB (1/2") to 150 MM NB (6") in 800# to 4500#. Each product page lists its own published size range and class.
Are Venus valves approved under IBR?
Yes. The workshop is approved for manufacturing valves with IBR certifications of sizes from 15 MM NB to 1000 MM NB and pressure ratings from 150# to 2500#, which is one of the largest approval ranges at a single location in India. IBR approvals have been held since 1975.
What quality certifications does the company hold?
The company has followed ISO 9001 principles and practices since 1999, when it became one of the first Indian industrial valve manufacturers to hold ISO 9002 certification. ISO 9001:2000 certification with the Design Module was received in June 2008.
What testing facilities are available in-house?
Hydro and air testing, non-destructive testing (radiography viewing, ultrasonic, magnetic particle and dye penetrant with ASNT qualified manpower and approved procedures), an in-house paint shop with DFT meter and adhesive testing, and special tools and fixtures for dimensional checks including flange parallelism and angular measurement.
